It is reported that the new sensation ChatGPT is faced sensitive user data leak. We know that last week OpenAI had to take its popular ChatGPT bot offline for emergency maintenance and that happened after founding a bug in the system. The problem allowed them to see the titles of other users’ chat histories and the problem was widely reported on Reddit.
The company has announced a deeper security issue and the chat history bug mighty revealed important personal information from 1.2 percent of ChatGPT Plus subscribers. The affected data included the user’s first and last name, email address, payment address, and the last four digits of a credit card number. That’s not all, information related to the credit card expiration date also leaked but it is said that the complete credit card numbers were not exposed.
It is said that the problem has been identified and the problem is with the Redis client open-source library, Redis-py, which has since been patched. The company has also said that it has taken all the needed steps to prevent such incidents to happen in the future.
