One of the most popular mobile browser, UC Browser has been removed by the tech giant Google from its Play Store. The UC Browser is owned by Alibaba group, and the app has more than 500 million downloads. Right now, there is no official word from both the companies about the removal, but we have got some information about this action.
Artem Russakovskii, the Founder of Android Police, received an email on November 9 from UC Union which is UC Web’s affiliate network which hints the removal has happened due to misleading promotion to get more installs.
And there is also a report which says that the browser has removed for stealing and leaking users data to servers back in the company’s home country, which is in China.
And if you are a user of the browser, or in other words, if you have installed the browser on your device, then you need not worry much as it will continue to work as it normally does.
