The developers of WhatsApp Messenger has bought yet new features into the platform, now in the latest version of Beta, they are testing a new feature which will allow you to switch from voice call to video call during the call.
According to @WABetaInfo, in the latest beta update of WhatsApp for Android has a new button which allows users to quickly switch from voice to video call without stopping the on-going voice call. The new feature can be seen in WhatsApp beta v2.17.163.
The source explains the feature very well and says that the feature will allow the recipient will able to reject the upcoming video call. The Facebook-owned instant messenger is s also testing a feature which allows you to directly mute a video. Moreover, WhatsApp has also confirmed the group voice calls in its latest beta version for Android.
I will say the company is slow to roll out these type of features, as we can find this kind of features on other instant messaging application. I hope the developers of WhatsApp will include the group video calling feature as well in the near future.
Do let us know your thoughts about the new feature.
