The Galaxy Note 8 is rumored to be first among devices with the new gen processor from Qualcomm. Rumors said that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 features 6.3-inch Infinity Display, dual rear camera setup, and runs on Android 7.1.1. A new report now says that the handset will be powered by Snapdragon 836 and it will be an improved edition of Snapdragon 835 which is currently the most powerful chipset available for smartphones.
Samsung already revealed that it will announce a “new flagship smartphone in the second half of 2017”. Previous Note-series phones including the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Note 7 were launched in August in 2015 and 2016 respectively. The leaked details around the Galaxy Note 8 suggests that the phone will sport a 6.3-inch Infinity display, which will be slightly bigger than the Galaxy S8+, and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 836 SoC in the US and the Exynos 8895 chipset outside the US.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is also said to pack 6GB of RAM, and offer up to 256GB of storage.The latest rumour notes a late-August launch again, with the motivation to launch ahead of the much-anticipated iPhone 8.
If this turns out to be true then it will be interesting to see how well the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is received in worldwide markets especially after the Galaxy Note 7 last year. With frequent cases of fire on the Note 7, Samsung was considering to stop its Galaxy Note series forever due to the bad name by its serious drawbacks.
Apart from Samsung Galaxy Note 8, flagship phones like LG V30, Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are expected to be powered by Snapdragon 836 as well. But as Note 8 is expected to launch it earlier that the other flagships.
Samsung note 8 will be the first smartphone to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 SoC.Qualcomm is also rumored to be working on Snapdragon 845 SoC.However, this processor will probably be launched in 2018 only.
