A couple of hours ago, we updated that the social networking giant Facebook has sharpened its facial recognition to alert users when their photos or videos are identified in someone else account. Now the company has introduced yet another tool which will give relief to those who have to face tons of unwanted messages and friend requests, as the new feature will restrict these two things on the platform.
The developers behind this social networking platform have implemented this new tool on the Facebook and Messenger, with this feature you will get a permanent solution from the unwanted messages and unwanted friend request. As this tool is more powerful, it will block that type of messages or friend requests very quickly.
When we get unwanted messages or friend requests from any particular person to whom we don’t want to connect, we often do block accounts. But that kind of person create fake accounts and do the same thing again, but Facebook finds a solution for this problem with their new tool, as it will block those fake account at the time of registration.
Facebook actually uses various signals such as IP addresses to identify such fake accounts and prevent them to send unwanted messages or friend requests to the person who blocked their original account. Moreover, Facebook also allows users to ignore messages by disabling notifications and those messages will move to the conversations from Inbox to the Filtered Messages folder without blocking the sender. Users will also able to read the messages without letting the sender know that they were read. This feature is not only available for private conversations, it will also available soon for group chats as well.
This is really a great move by the social networking giant, and let’s hope that the new tool will find the exact solution for this problem which Facebook wants to address.
