The Taiwan based smartphone brand Asus has introduced its new flagship smartphone series dubbed Asus ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate. The devices are coming with a flagship chipset from MediaTek. The specifications of both devices are almost identical. Everything about Asus ROG Phone 6D Series
The Asus 8ROG Phone 6D series features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 2448 x 1080 pixels resolution along with up to a 165Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
Under the hood, The newly announced Asus ROG Phone 6D and the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 Plus mobile processor. It is worth mentioning that the Asus ROG Phone 6 and the ROG Phone 6 Pro which were announced a while ago are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 mobile chipset.
The devices are coming with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM the Ultimate variant is having 512 GB and the base model of the smartphone series is having 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage.
It is worth mentioning that the new 6D Ultimate has a slot on the back panel which can be opened and used with the AeroActive Cooler accessory and that will help you to reduce the temperature it is worth mentioning that AeroActive Portal is the official name for this particular cooling device.
Speaking about the camera department, the smartphone series features a triple camera setup on the back panel and that includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor along with a 13MP ultra-wide sensor and a 5MP macro lens. Both devices are featuring a 12MP front facing camera. The devices are also supporting an in-display fingerprint scanner for an additional layer of security.
Regarding the connectivity options, the Asus ROG Phone 6D series is supporting dual SIM, 5G, WiFi 6E, GNSS, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, 2 x USB Type-C ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphones also featuring an IPX4 rating along with dual stereo speakers, triple microphones, and a ROG Vision display on the back.
The devices are running on Android 12 with both ROG UI and Zen UI. The company has promised to deliver two Android updates and 2 years of security updates. The devices are housing a massive 6,000mAh battery with 65W fast wired charging.
In terms of pricing and availability, the Asus ROG Phone 6D has a price tag of £799 while the Asus ROG Phone 6D Ultimate is priced at £1,199.
