Back in last year, the social networking giant Facebook launched Messenger Kids app, which is a dedicated messaging application for the children and the control will be in the hands of their parents. Well, now Facebook gives more control with the introduction of Sleep Mode on the Messenger Kids app.
As the name suggests, the new feature will allow you to prevent your kids from using the messaging application after a time period. With the Sleep Mode feature, you can choose the time period for the online of your kids, which means if this feature is enabled then your kids will not able to use the Messenger Kids.
Once the timing has set, your kids will receive a notification when they open the app, about the Sleep Mode, and, when they open the app in Sleep Mode, they will get a message saying “Your app went to sleep” and to come back later went the app “wakes up”.
How to enable the feature
Head to the App Controls section in the main Facebook app, and tap on the name of your kid, and then tap on Sleep Mode. Then you will able to select the days and time when you want the Messenger Kids app to go to Sleep Mode.
Well, this feature is really handy as you have more control over your kids even if they are not in front of your eyes.
