The world’s most favourite social networking site Facebook, faces many questions about the fake news pops up on its News Feed. To tackle with this problem, Facebook has reprogrammed the functions of the News Feed. Facebook has designed it in part to bring what it calls as authentic news, to the top of your news feed. The social networking giant’s new update should be rolling out to users as we speak.
The new update Facebook has added new signals into the News Feed, which will sort out if a post is authentic at least according to Facebook’s algorithms. For example, there are many post which are made for spamming or they simply asked to give likes, comments and shares. Well these types of post will not be come under the authentic news tab, also any post which is hidden by people will not come under authentic.
Another change Facebook has done with the engagement on a post or topic, for example: if your favourite team wins a match then posts about that game may pops up higher on the news feed. The company claims, that these update won’t make way for big changes in the people’s news feed. But few pages will see small increases in engagement others will see small decreases.
