After testing the group video call feature with limited users, today the Facebook owned WhatsApp has rolled out the group video and audio calling support for the Android and IOS users across the globe.
With this feature, users can able to chat with multiple users at the same time, whether it is a voice call or a video. You guys can start a group call very easily, you have to start a one-on-one voice or video call first, then just tap on the “add participant” button which is placed at the top-right corner of the screen. Having said that, the maximum number of people is ‘Four’ for a group call.
Furthermore, the group calls are also end-to-end encrypted, which means all the calls are safe and no one can listen to what you are talking. And the company claims that the group call is designed to “work reliably around the world in different network conditions”. That said, the company also said that over 2 Billion minutes are spends on daily basis.
