The Mountain View company Google has introduced multiple new features at the CES 2024 event and the company has launched the new features in collaboration with the South Korean electronics giant Samsung. So let’s get into the article to check out the new features.
Google has introduced the new Quick Share system in collaboration with Samsung and Google says that it is “integrated the experiences” with Samsung. The latest built-in option for peer-to-peer content sharing and the same can be done across various types of devices that run on either Android or Chrome OS.
Google is also working with the “leading PC manufacturers” to expand the new Quick Share to computers that are powered by the Windows operating system in the near future.
The new sharing system will enable you to simply tap the Quick Share icon and you will get a list of available devices close by. Then you can simply share the content. The new feature is expected to be available in the current Nearby Share enabled devices from next month.
Google has also introduced a new feature dubbed Fast Pair and the same is expanding to Chromecast with Google TV which will also be available from next month and it will be available on more Google TV devices later this year.
The search engine giant will also enable you to cast TikTok content from your phone to devices with Chromecast built-in. This will be applied to live videos on TikTok as well.
It is also revealed that the latest LG televisions will be coming with Chromecast built-in, as will devices under LG Hospitality and LG Healthcare. The company will be releasing a new casting feature later this year and the same will enable you to move what’s playing on Spotify and YouTube Music from your compatible Pixel phone to your docked Pixel Tablet. It can be done only when the devices are close by. The company also reveals that the future LG televisions and Google TV as well as other Android TV devices will work like hubs for Google Home. It will be done only if the devices are supporting the Matter protocol. The company has also added new features to the Google Android Auto, including the Chrome browser and a way to customize the wallpaper on the infotainment display of your vehicle.
