Keeping that in mind, Google has rolled out Play Protect with Google Play Service 11 or above. The Google Play Protect is a unification of Android security system like Verify Apps, browser protection and anti-theft measures.
The Play Protect app scanning feature works automatically you can customize the settings such as turn off the regular security threat checks. You can able to do this by visiting Google > Security > Verify Apps in your device settings.
