The Mountain View company Google will be using its upcoming Google Tensor G4 mobile processor to power the upcoming Google Pixel 9 series which will be official on August 13. According to the latest information, the upcoming Google Tensor G4 will feature a 4+3+1 layout that will include newer ARMv9.2 cores such as the Cortex-A520, Cortex-A720, and Cortex-X4. The preliminary Geekbench results reveal that there will be an 11% improvement in single-core performance and a 3% improvement in multi-core performance when we compare with the previous generation.
The upcoming Google Tensor G4 will feature the new Exynos Modem 5400 along with the support for satellite connectivity and efficiency improvements. It is reported that the new processor will be coming with up to 50% better power consumption than the Exynos Modem 5300. The new Google Tensor G4 will feature the same Mali-G715 for the graphical task. It also features custom IP blocks that define the Tensor mobile processors including the Edge TPU, GXP, BigWave, and Titan M2 security chip. The packaging of the upcoming Google Tensor G4 mobile processor is still identified as FOPLP.
