Few weeks before, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor unveiled Honor 20 Lite smartphone. Now it’s time for the regular model of this series. Today Honor unveiled their flagship duo in this series, Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro. As we know both Huawei/Honor became more camera centric smartphone from the past few years, so camera is the main USP of this duo. So let’s have a look at the specs of both.
Honor 20 –
Let’s start with the regular one, the Honor 20. It sports a 6.26 inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ (2340×1080) resolution and 412 ppi. It has 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and the display protection is unknown. It comes with Kirin HiSilicon 980 octa core processor clocked at 2.6Ghz and is based on 7nm process. Mali-G76 MP10 GPU is present for the graphic intensive tasks. It has 6GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage.
There’s a Quad Camera setup at the back of this device. The primary one is a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with f1.8 lens, 0.8µm pixel size, 4-Axis OIS, EIS and PDAF. The secondary sensor is 16MP wide angle lens with f2.2 lens. Third is 2MP Macro camera with f2.4 lens that can take images from 4cm/1.5 inches away, it will he useful to take more closer macro shots. Finally the fourth sensor is 2MP depth sensor with f2.4 lens. On the front there’s a 32MP Punch Hole camera with f2.0 lens, 0.8µm pixel size, and EIS.
This device runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with Magic 2.0 UI on top. It packs in a 3750mAh battery with 22.5W SuperCharge, which will charge the battery from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes. The fingerprint sensor is located at right side of the device. It has 9.1 surround sound which is claimed to give more cinematic experience to the audio. But the 3.5mm jack is absent here. For connectivity it has 4G LTE, dual band Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, infrared port, GPS, aptX HD, and Type-C port. Midnight Black, Icelandic White, and Sapphire Blue, are the colour options for this smartphone.
Honor 20 Pro –
Now let’s talk about the Pro variant, Honor 20 Pro. It has better camera setup than regular Honor 20. It has the same 6.26 inch display as regular Honor 20 and also it comes with the same Kirin HiSilicon 980 processor. The storage is bumped up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
Now coming to the camera, this one also houses quad camera setup at the back, but with different sensors. Primary sensor is the same 48MP Sony IMX586 but with never seen lens in any smartphone ever, f1.4 lens. So we can expect a lot brighter image in low light and more depth in bokeh shots. Instead of 2MP depth sensor in Honor 20, this one has 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, 5X hybrid zoom, and 30X digital zoom. This one has f2.4 lens and 4-Axis OIS. The 16MP wide angle lens, 2MP Macro Camera, and 32MP front camera are same on this one as well.
