Honor Pad 5 Goes Official In India

Honor launched its new tablet in the market of India and the device is called Honor Pad 5, the company has launched two variants 8-inch and 10.1-inch screen sizes. Apart from the difference in screen size, both the variants coming with almost the same specifications. Specifications of Honor Pad 5

Both the variants feature 1920 X 1200 pixels resolution, the 8-inch variant of the tablet is powered by Kirin 710 processor and has GPU Turbo support, while the 10.1-inch variant has Kirin 659 processor at its heart. Both come in two storage options – 3GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage and that can be expandable via MicroSD card.

Moving to the photography department, both the variants of Honor Pad 5 rocks an 8MP camera with no LED flash at back. While the 8-inch variant features an 8MP camera on the front, and the 10.1-inch variant sports just 2MP sensor. For connectivity options, it includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port.

That said, the 10.1-inch variant comes with a fingerprint scanner, and the 8-inch variant only supports face unlock. The tablet runs on Android Oreo 8.1, and backed on 5,100 mAh battery.

Pricing and availability

The 8-inch variant of the tablet with 3GB RAM has the price tag of ₹15,499 and the 4 GB RAM variant will cost ₹17,499. On the other hand, the 10.1-inch variant of the tablet will have the price tag of ₹16,999 for the 3GB RAM variant and the 4GB RAM variant will have the price tag of ₹18,999. It will be available from next month via Flipkart.

Well, we already know that Huawei and its sub-brand Honor is struggling to sustain in the smartphone industry and Google already clarified that it will not push any software as well as Android patch updates. At this point of time, the devices with the operating system of last year are not sensible to purchase. I never recommend you to purchase it.
