Along with Honor 20s, the company has unveiled the all new Honor Play 3 and it is coming with an entry-level price tag, it features some really cool specifications along with a nice gradient design. It features a 6.39 inch HD+ display with 1560 X 720 pixels resolution, it also comes with a punch hole setup and that is meant to accommodate the front facing camera under the display, and the smartphone offers 90% screen to body ratio. The smartphone is powered by octa core Kirin 710F processor and paired with 4GB and 6GB of RAM, along with Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. In terms of storage, the device comes in three storage options 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 4GB RAM with 128 GB of internal storage and 6GB RAM with 64GB internal storage, storage configuration is very strange. The device also allows expanding the storage via micro SD card.
Moving to the photography department, the Honor Play 3 rocks a triple rear camera setup and that’s in the combination of a 48-megapixel primary lens with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel f/2.4 wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The smartphone also has an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device also supports fingerprint scanner along with face unlock for the additional layer of security.
Regarding the connectivity options, it features Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, and microUSB port. The smartphone runs Magic UI 2.1.1 based on Android 9 Pie and packs on a 4,000 mAh battery to keep the lights on. It will available in Black, Blue, and Red colours.
Pricing and availability
The pricing starts at CNY 999 for the 4/64GB variant while both the 6/64GB and 4/128GB variants cost the same – CNY 1,299. The device will available in China from September 17 and there is no information about the availability of the device in other parts of the world.
