Just a couple of hours ago, we got the information which revealed that the Chinese brand OnePlus is now the leading brand in the premium segment in the Indian market. Well, today we got another information and that opens the eye of every smartphone lovers.
According to the research firm IDC, the Chinese smartphone brand Huawei is now the second biggest smartphone brand in the world. This is the result of the second quarter of this year and the firm confirms that Huawei has beaten Apple for the first time Since mid-2010.
The firm’s report says that the Huawei shipped a total of 54.2 million units and had a market share of 15.8%, its highest ever on the global market. Well, now Apple is in the third spot with 41.3 million units and the Xiaomi sits at fourth with 31.9 million units followed by Oppo with a close 29.4% on the fifth place. That said, the Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi’s market share has seen the biggest upside with almost 50% change.
Having said that, the South Korean brand Samsung is still leading the table but there are no impressive numbers. So this result is a warning signal to the big guns like Samsung. As if they don’t improve their current standard then in the next result, we may see that OnePlus or Huawei at the top of the table of that quarter.
