Key Points:
- A Kirin flagship processor may found for the last time this year.
- The company facing the supply issue.
- The upcoming smartphone expected to launch in next year.
The upcoming latest and greatest Huawei Mate 40 of the company is expected to launch in next year but the company started working on the devices and it has now suggested that the company may use its in-house processor in this device and after this, we may not find other smartphones of the company with the Kirin chipset.
During the China Information Technology Summit 2020, the Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei CEO Richard Yu said that about the supply issues which his company is facing due to the trade war.
Having said that, the company is expected to announce its Kirin 1000 chipset at the upcoming IFA in early September and the same will be a 5 nm chip fabbed at TSMC and will be based on the Cortex-A78 CPU core.
It is worth to mention that the Chinese giant will face a block from the United States and that means TSMC, the manufacture of chips for Huawei will not able to provide the chip from mid-September and that means, before that time period, the Chinese company needs to secure as many as chips for its upcoming devices and after that supply runs out, the company may need to find another source to power smartphone.
We are looking forward to hear more about the same in the coming days and we recommend you to stay tuned with us for more interesting information at your fingertips.
