Back in last month, we updated that the Chinese giant filed for a patent for its new operating system with the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA). Well, today the company announced that the OS will be official by this fall.
According to the source, the company will release its own operating system as HongMeng in China while the same will be dubbed as Oak OS in the global market. Huawei consumer business CEO Richard Yu confirmed that the company’s new OS will be ready by this fall.
After listed into the ‘entity law’, many tech giants including Google, Intel, ARM, and more stopped their business with Huawei and its sub-brand Honor.
Google’s decision made it clear that the devices of the company will not get access to vital applications such as Gmail, Play Store, and more. That’s not all, Google will also stop pushing updates to the future devices of the Chinese brand. Well, this situation forced to develop its own operating system for mobile phones.
As of now, we don’t have any other information about the upcoming operating system of Huawei. But we expect to hear more information about the same in the coming days. You are recommended to stay tuned with us for the latest updates.
