Early this month, we came across the detail specifications and renders of the upcoming Huawei Watch GT 2 and it was expected to launch along with the Mate 30 series. Well, today the company has officially confirmed the unveiling date of the device.
The company has posted a video on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo and the video does not reveal anything about the upcoming wearable but it confirms that the SmartWatch will be unveiled on September 19, and the video also reveals that it will be powered by the new Kirin A1 which is dedicated for the wearables.
It is expected to come with a larger display along with smaller bezels, and now it seems to be thinner and more compact. This time the company has added a larger battery, as the wearable will pack 445 mAh.
Furthermore, the Huawei Watch GT 2 will feature a mic and speaker, which means the device will allow making calls directly on it – and we also expect that the watch will have the cellular connectivity.
The device will have built-in, as is the optical heart rate monitor, and the images also shows that the watch will available in two colour variants – all-black model with the sporty rubber band, and black/silver one with the brown leather strap.
