In the last month, we updated that Instagram users soon get the calling feature and now we have gone yet another report which strengthens the previous rumor. As the latest report says, the Facebook-owned photo and videos sharing app- Instagram will receive the voice and video calling feature very soon.
Thanks to the guys at TechCrunch, as they discovered this vital information and they have spotted the icons with filenames such as “action_call” and “video_call”. These things are indicating that the developers of the Instagram, are now testing the voice and video calling feature internally before the rollout in the stable version of the app with these features.
We know that Instagram is competing with its rival Snapchat app, and with the expansion of the voice call and video calling feature will definitely help them to put pressure on its rival. Well, the parent company of Instagram already has the voice and video calling features and now the expansion to the Instagram is not a surprising move but the need for these features should be a point to review.
As in my personal opinion, the platform of Instagram doesn’t require the voice and video calling feature because with this platform we like or love to share photos and videos instead of making the app for our chatting purpose.
