The Facebook-owned photo and video sharing Instagram is now a new feature called Nametags, and it is another feature which is copied from the rival app Snapchat.
According to the source, Instagram has started testing a feature called Nametags which is a clone of Snapchat’s Snapcodes. The Nametags button will come on a user’s profile, and, when tapped upon, it will open the Nametag editor.
The feature will allow to create/edit his/her Nametag in the Nametag editor according to desired choices by choosing the favourite background colour or adding a pattern of one emoji. It also has the option to add their selfie with AR filters on user’s face and it will appear in the background instead of a colour or emoji. And the username will pop-up in the centre. You can check out the video to see how the feature will work.
After creating your Nametag, then you can share it with others so that they can follow you easily by scanning it. However, the users who already have this feature right now aren’t able to share or scan any Nametags yet.
