The Facebook-owned social media app- Instagram has the Stories feature from some time ago, and developers of the app updated that section in time to time. Now the developers of Instagram have updated the app, and now it allows you to save your favourite Story to watch it again.
With the latest update, Instagram rolls out a new feature called Stories Archive, and it will allow you to save your dear and near Stories. The Stories which you upload will be archived automatically and it will be available private to you. As your Stories are now archived, you will able to watch them again. And with this feature, you don’t need to download the Story on your device to watch them again.
You can able to access your saved Stories by tapping on the Archive icon on your profile. And you can also switch between your post archives and stories archives. Moreover, to find the Story quickly which you are looking for, the first story from each day will pops-up with a date on it. And you can turn off this feature if you want to do so.
Instagram has also announced the Stories Highlights feature which allows you to group your favourite stories together and share it on your profile. The Stories Highlights section will come below the Bio.
How to create a story highlight:
- You need to tap on the ‘+’ icon at the left below your Bio.
- Select any Stories which you want from your stories archive.
- Then select a cover for your story highlight and give it a name.
That’s it, your story highlight will appear on your profile. But it won’t disappear from the profile, like your Story after the period of 24 hours. Both these features are rolling out as a part of the version 25 to Android and iOS.
