Intel – the name which is familiar for every computer users, the company has unveiled its new 10th Gen Core CPUs and it will be based on 10nm ‘Ice Lake’ architecture which is the first in the category of the portfolio of Intel. The new processes are developed for the thin and light laptops, and it unveiled the new set of the product under U-series and Y-series. And the company has announced 11 new processor models across its Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7.
The new ‘Ice Lake’ guarantee to improved CPU performance along with a better-integrated graphics and that’s because of the new Gen11 GPU architecture and also new AI acceleration capabilities, which Intel is branding Deep Learning Boost. These new CPUs will also come with the integrated Wi-Fi 6 and Thunderbolt 3 controllers along with the low-power sensor capabilities.
Speaking about the new Y-series CPUs, which offers a single 28W model, the Core i7-1068G7, comes with four cores and eight threads, as well as 64 graphics execution units. The base and single-core boost speeds are 2.3GHz and 4.1GHz respectively. It also features five other 15W parts and that includes one more quad-core Core i7, three quad-core Core i5s, and one dual-core Core i3 model.
Now coming to the U-series, it’s coming with one Core i7, two Core i5, and two Core i3 models. And these features 9W default TDPs and can be configured up to 12W. The Core i3 models are dual-core while the rest are quad-core, and all of them feature Hyper-Threading.
