The company has implemented a multilayer security structure in the Android 9 operating system with information security features and software integrated into the source code, and this will make the device to secure both the data in the smartphone and data transfers.
Moreover, the company has implemented many encryptions, authentication, and key management related features, boot, and runtime security checks, a tamper-proof information security platform, as well as a privacy mode. The last one will disable microphones, cameras, and Bluetooth, as well as reduces the accuracy of sensors, with just a touch of a button. The all new Tough Mobile 2 is also coming with the support of the Bittium Secure Suite software, which will allow remote management of the devices and their encrypted data transfers.
That’s not all, the device is certified for the secure use of government officials and the smartphone will get better availability of security updates and it will use several isolated and the secure workspaces which will allow users to easily and securely taking care of confidential data.

Coming to the specs sheet, it sports a 5.2 inch Full HD display with the support of “sunlight readable”. Moreover, it allows you to touch the screen with the glove and wet hands. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 670 processor and paired with 4GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the smartphone supports 64GB of eMMC storage, and that can be expandable via mciroSD.
Moving to the photography department, the Bittium Tough Mobile 2 rocks a single 12 MP rear camera, along with a 5 MP front-facing camera for the selfies and video calls. The smartphone also supports dual front-facing speakers, as well as dedicated buttons for Privacy mode, Emergency, and push-to-talk.
Regarding the connectivity options, the smartphone supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC, It’s IP67 certified for water and dust resistance, as well as MIL-STD-810G compliant for shock and drop resistance. As mentioned above, it runs on Android 9, and ships on a 3,000 mAh battery.
