Leak Suggests Galaxy ‘A’ 2018 Series To Feature Infinity Display

We all know that 2017 is all about bezel-less display in the flagship smartphones. We have seen many smartphones carrying the near bezel-less design like LG G6, Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+, Galaxy Note 8, Mi Mix 2 and Apple iPhone X. The least expensive phone having this design is Mi Mix 2, though availability is still a big question across the Globe. But seems like this design will not be flagship exclusive, as we have some leaks for the 2018 Samsung premium mid-range phones i.e. Galaxy ‘A’ 2018. So let’s have a look into this..

Though we don’t know which is the device in the image above, but as Galaxy A series is the most premium line-up apart from flagship, we are expect that this is the Galaxy A 2018 phone. But we also don’t know whether this is Galaxy A3, A5, or A7 ! But this leak suggests that all three phones will have same design, the difference between them will be in terms of size. So now we are quite sure that Galaxy A 2018 series will have infinity display, with screen aspect ratio of 18:9. But the resolution is rumoured to be restricted at Full HD+ , as compared to 2017 flagship’s Quad HD+ (to keep difference in flagships & premium mid-range). There will be no curved edges in these phones.

Strangely these phones will have Dual Camera Setup on the front, rather than the back. So these will become first Samsung smartphone to have dual selfie camera setup. Also you can notice that the fingerprint sensor is located below the camera setup, as compared to the right side on 2017 Samsung flagships. The top model in Galaxy A 2018 series , Galaxy A7 2018, is recently spotted on GFXBench. According to GFXBench this phone will have Full HD display, 16MP Rear Camera, 4GB of RAM, and Android 7.1 Nougat with TouchWiz UI. Though we are expecting Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, let’s see maybe before the launch Samsung will install Android Oreo in these phones. This line-up is expect to unveil in January 2018 or late 2017 i.e. December 2017.

So that’s all the information we have as of now. Personally speaking this Galaxy A 2018 seems to be little strange phone, as they are giving dual camera setup on front rather than on back. But as it is one of the 1st leak on Galaxy A 2018 series, take them all with a pinch of salt. We will get know more about this device in coming weeks.
