The Chinese electronics giant Lenovo has introduced its new gaming laptops for 2024 in the form of the new Lenovo Legion 9i, Legion 7i, Legion 5i, and Legion Slim 5. The new laptops are announced at the CES 2024 event. So let’s get into the article to check out the full details of the new laptops.
Lenovo Legion 9i
The latest Lenovo Legion 9i gaming laptop features a 16-inch display with 3.2K mini LED along with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 3ms response time. The device also features Intel Core i9-14900HX processor and up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card.
It also comes with Lenovo’s LA3-P AI chip with the power of artificial intelligence. It also comes with two Thunderbolt 4.0 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, an RJ 45 Ethernet jack, a micro SD card reader, and a combo audio jack. The laptop starts at $4,399.
Lenovo Legion 7i & Legion 5i
The Legion 7i and 5i are almost identical, they feature up to an Intel Core i9-14900HX Raptor Lake Refresh CPU and up to an RTX 4070. The company ofers a brand new “Coldfront: Hyper” thermal design that keeps the internals cool by preventing hot exhaust air from mixing with cold intake air. Both devices feature 16-inch 1600p IPS panels with 100% sRGB coverage, 500 nits of peak brightness, a 3ms response time, a 240 Hz refresh rate, and NVIDIA G-SYNC.
The Lenovo Legion 7i comes with the option of a 3.2K panel a 165 Hz refresh rate, 430 nits of brightness, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and NVIDIA G-SYNC. All panels available for the Legion 7i and 5i Gen 9 support Dolby Vision and are Panton X-Rite validated.
The 7i will be available from March this year with a starting price of $2,099 while users will be able to purchase the Legion 5i Gen 9 in April for starting price of $1,399.
Lenovo Legion Slim 5
The latest Lenovo Legion Slim 5 terms with the new AMD CPUs along with an optional 240 Hz display. It also features two USB-C ports with DisplayPort, two USB-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, an RJ45 jack, and an SD card reader.
The device comes with a 16-inch display along with either a 165 Hz or 240 Hz refresh rate option, both with a 3ms response time and 500 nits of brightness. The device comes with the power of the AMD Ryzen 8040 Hawk Point CPUs and up to an NVIDIA RTX 4070 laptop GPU. It also features up to an 80 Wh battery, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.1. The Lenovo Slim 5 16 Gen 9 will go on sale in April starting at $1,499.
