Lenovo Unveiled Yoga 920, Yoga 720, And Miix 520 At IFA 2017

If we talk about technology, we see changes every week. Just take the example of smartphones, we see more than one launches in a single week. But if we talk about laptops, it’s not the same case. As we aren’t seeing any buzz or hype of any laptop launch since past few years. But it doesn’t mean that OEMs aren’t producing new & innovative laptops and 2-in-1’s. As today Lenovo has unveiled Two convertible laptops and One 2-in-1 at their event in IFA 2017. So let’s have a look at all three of them.

Lenovo Yoga 920 (Convertible Laptop):

This one is most premium device amongst all three devices launched today. It has a 13.9” 4k IPS LCD display with touchscreen. The display can flip 360° to use it more conveniently. A 1080p Full HD model is also here and personally speaking that would be more practical as the battery life on 4k is 10.8 hours and 15.5 hours on Full HD, unless you use photo/video editing software a lot.

It comes with latest 8th Gen Intel core i7 processor, 8GB to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and 256GB to 1TB SATA SSD options. The speakers are also made up by JBL and you will get Dolby Atmos from headphone jack. The Yoga 920 runs on Windows 10 home and comes with Cortana. Lenovo Active Pen 2 will also be available for productivity use. The camera here can only record up to 720p, which seems low as it’s a 4K display. It has 2x USB C Ports and 1 USB 3.0 port. All weights at 1.37kg.

Lenovo Yoga 720 (Convertible Laptop):

This is a slightly downgraded version of Yoga 920. It has smaller 12.5” display. But display option here is only 1080p, no 4K here. But this one also flips up to 360° for convenient use. It has 7th Gen Intel core i7 processor, 4GB to 12GB RAM options, and 128GB to 512GB SATA SSD. It can support the original Lenovo Active Pen. The speakers here are powered by Harman. The battery time is lesser here with just 8 hours.  For connectivity it has 1 USB Type C Port and 1 USB 3.0 Port. All these weights at 1.15kg , which is more lighter than Yoga 920. It also runs on Windows 10 home with Cortana.

Lenovo Miix 2 (2-in-1):

Now Lenovo has also unveiled a 2-in-1 device in which the keyboard is optional, just like Microsoft’s Surface. It has 12.2” IPS LCD display. It supports Lenovo Active Pen 2 for productivity. This 2-in-1 has processor variants, top end is 8th Gen Intel core i7, and lower end 7th Gen Intel core i3. RAM varies between 4GB and 16GB, all are DDR4 RAM. For storage it has 1TB PCle SSD. It also runs on Windows 10 Home with Cortana.

There’s a 5MP Camera on both front and back with autofocus. Battery life is predicted at 7.5 hours, which is the lowest amongst the three. It has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and four microphones. For connectivity it has 1 USB Type C Port and 1 USB 3.0 Port. It weights the lightest at 880 grams without keyboard, the keyboard has weight of 180 grams.
