The notch display is now the most trending in the smartphone industry, and the trend started in last year when Apple launched the iPhone X. However, the Essential phone PH-1 was the first to have the notch on the display but the rumours for iPhone X was trending at that time and that’s why Apple got the credit for the new thing on the display.
Well, now we have the new trend on the display of almost every smartphone brand. However, now the South Korean electronics brand LG says that they planned for the notch even before the Apple. Recently, at a showcase event for the phone in Seoul, LG mobile division head said that the notch design was planned by them before the Apple and they wanted to call the notch as a ‘Secondary Display’.
Moreover, he also explains the reason behind the LCD for the G7, as he says that the company always has the plan for G-series to use the LCD and the OLED display is for the V-series of the company.
Having said that, the company will soon roll out the Animoji feature on its latest LG G7 ThinQ device through the software update.
