The Chinese smartphone brand Meizu has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone and the device is dubbed as Meizu 16s. The company has launched the smartphone in its homeland i.e. China, the device sports very small bezels equipped with all the modern features. Specifications of Meizu 16s
The smartphone sports a 6.2-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution and has 18.6:9 aspect ratio, the device offers 91.52 percent screen-to-body ratio, and 430 nits peak brightness. The device is powered by the latest and greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and paired with 6GB and 8GB RAM along with Adreno 640 GPU for the graphical needs. In terms of storage, the smartphone will available in 128GB and 256GB internal storage options.
Furthermore, the smartphone has the new Hyper Gaming mode which will offer a smoother graphics performance and it consums less power. The smartphone also equipped the mEngine 3.0 vibration motor for a more immersive tactile experience during gaming.
Moving to the photography department, the all new Meizu 16s rocks dual camera setup at the back and that’s in the combination of a 48-megapixel sensor (f/1.7 aperture) and another 20-megapixel sensor (f/2.6 aperture) with OIS, dual super night scene mode, and six-LED ring flash. On front, the smartphone features a 20-megapixel f/2.2 aperture wide-angle lens with AI face recognition, HDR, portrait blur, and ArcSoft beauty algorithm support. The smartphone also features the in-display fingerprint scanner and Meizu Pay.
In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v5, GPS, 4×4 MIMO, NFC, and USB Type-C port. The smartphone runs on Flyme 7.3 built on top of Android Pie, and packs on 3,600 mAh battery and comes with a 24W mCharger and claims to charge from 0 to 60% in just 30 minutes.
Pricing and availability of Meizu 16s
The 6GB + 128GB storage variant is priced at CNY 3,198, the 8/256GB variant will be available for CNY 3,498, and the 8/256GB variant will have the price tag of CNY 3,998. The pre-orders begin later today and official sales are scheduled for Apil 28.
