The company said that the assistant is used by more than 500 million people every month, and the same is also active on various devices such as smart display, speakers, televisions, and more. Scheduled actions
As the name suggests, it will allow users to do a task later by allowing more granular control. Now you can ask the Google Assistant to turn on or off to a compatible device at the time of your choice, and that will do the assigned task at your preferred time. You can also control many more smart devices to do the task at your favorite time and this will be a very handy feature for those who use various smart devices at their home, this feature will be available later this year.

This feature will make life easier, as now you can ask Google to read a page loudly by commanding ‘hey Google read it’. For instance; when you are on the page of TechnoBugg and you want to go through an article but you don’t have time to read because you are doing something else then you can ask Google to read it and it will read loudly for you. Moreover, the company also says that the Google Assistant can also translate into 42 languages such as Hindi, German, or Spanish. Speaking about the availability of this feature, it will available later this year all the devices which running on Android version 5 and above. It is worth to mention that the company is also working on various features like auto-scroll and text highlight.
Interpreter Mode
This feature was introduced last year and it is a real-time translation feature that will help users to communicate with others even without having knowledge in the local language. Well, now at the CES event, the company has announced has joined its hand with the systems integrators Volara and SONIFI to launch a full-service solution and targeting to remove the barrier of language. The partnership will help Google to bring the service to public places including airports, banks, organizations, and more. The interpreter mode has been implemented at several desks which will help people to know things.
Easier access to privacy settings
Google has also said that it has changed some privacy-related areas in Google Assistant and this will help users to access the privacy settings easily. The new changes will also help you to do certain things quickly as well, now you can ask Google Assistant to delete your data which you communicated with your digital assistant then it will automatically delete instantly which means you don’t have to do anything manually. Moreover, the company has also added two new voice-related privacy features on the Google Assistant. The first one will allow you to say ‘hey Google that was not for you’ and this will make assistant delete what it heard and the second addition will be an important privacy feature, you can ask Google that whether it is saving the audio data.
New feature on Smart Displays
The developers of Google Assistant have also implemented a new feature for smart displays and this will help users to create notes for the household on the screen for the members of the home. The new feature will make the house members see the tasks which are done before you left the home, this is really a great feature for the smart displays users. The best thing is the notes can be created by any one of the home even without signing into the device with a Google account and the feature will be available later this year. Along with this, the company has also added a new feature called household contact list and this will help users to setup speed dial contacts to make calls quickly.
Other add-ons
The company also confirmed that the more devices will be powered by the Google Assistant and that includes Smart Locks, Philips Hue HDMI Sync Box, Telus Wi-Fi Hub routers, GE Appliances Ultrafresh Front Load Washer, MOEN shower, D-Link Outdoor Wi-Fi Spotlight camera, VIAROOM Smart, Somfy TaHoma Hub, Yeelight Staria Bedside Lamp Pro and MerossSmart’s garage door opener. And this service will be available later this year.
