A couple of days ago, we came across a report which suggested that the upcoming Nothing Phone 1 will be locally manufactured in India and now the rumour has been confirmed as the topmost executive of the company in India has officially confirmed that the device will be manufactured in India.
The General Manager and Vice President of Nothing India, Manu Sharma has officially confirmed that the first phone of the brand will be manufactured locally in India and the device will be manufactured in Tamil Nadu and the same will be sold via the popular shopping website Flipkart across the country.
By producing the device in India will help the company to save lots of costs as the company can able to avoid heavy custom duties and tariffs that the government of the country imposed on the products which are coming from outside India. This will also help the company to offer the device with aggressive pricing as well.
The upcoming Nothing Phone 1 will be announced on July 12 and it is confirmed to feature a transparent back panel as well. Based on the previous reports, the upcoming Nothing Phone 1 smartphone will feature a 6.55-inch display along with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. It is also reported that the smartphone will have “No chin” which indicates super-slim bottom bezels across the display. It is also believed that the device will support a 90Hz or a 120Hz refresh rate.
The upcoming Nothing Phone 1 is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile processor along with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage.
Nothing previously confirmed that the device will run the Nothing OS based on Android 12 out of the box and the device will receive 3 years of software updates and 4 years of security updates. It is also reported that the device will support 45W fast charging support.
