The social networking giant Facebook has dominated the social networking industry, as the company owns the WhatsApp and Instagram apart from Facebook and Facebook Messenger and all these applications connect the world. The company brings updates to these applications on regular basis to give latest and handy features to the users. Well, the company has updated Facebook Messenger and now the application will allow you to unsend messages.
The unsend feature will work exactly the same as the ‘Delete for Everyone‘ feature on the WhatsApp which the company introduced very long back. With this feature, you can able to delete a message which you send accidentally, be it in a private chat or group chat and you can able to delete the message within the period of 10 minutes.
Having said that, the company was testing this feature from October last year and now it has been rolled out to all the users across the globe, the feature will be available on both the Android as well as iOS users.
How to unsend messages on Facebook Messenger
- You have to long-press on the message which you want to delete and you will see a dustbin icon at the bottom with ‘Remove’. Now just tap on that icon to proceed.
- Now you will get two options – ‘Remove for Everyone’ and ‘Remove for You’. Tap on the ‘Remove for Everyone’ option to remove that message from receiver’s end, and then tap on ‘Remove’ for confirmation.
That’s all, now you can able to delete the accidentally or mistakenly typed messages and this is a really handy feature, I would say that Facebook must bring this feature earlier.
