A couple of years ago, Xiaomi launched a smartphone called Poco F1 in the market of India and the Pocophone F1 in the global market. The smartphone was the hot choice in the smartphone industry as it came with the flagship processor along with the affordable price tag. However, the company didn’t unveil the successor of the device in last year but now reports about the successor of Poco F1 and now the company has announced that it has now become an independent brand just like Redmi.
Manu Kumar Jain, the Indian chief of Xiaomi has confirmed that Poco is now an independent brand and it will operate on its own from now on, he confirmed the news through his official Twitter handle.
Excited to share: #POCO will now be an independent brand!
What started as a sub-brand within Xiaomi, has grown into its own identity. POCO F1 was an incredibly popular phone. We feel the time is right to let POCO operate on its own.
Join me in wishing @IndiaPOCO all the best.

Well, that means we will see the successor of Poco F1 very soon in the market and this also suggests that the company will now have various categories of smartphones, for example, Redmi will launch affordable as well as budget smartphones while Poco will launch flagship devices with aggressive price tag and the Mi series will offer the high-end as well as innovative smartphones.
