Qualcomm,the processor giant has been working to provide faster battery charging for smartphones. Qualcomm has been evolving in its Quick Charge technology , and introduced Quick Charge 4 in November 2016. The Quick Charge 4 gives 5 hours of battery life from 5 minutes of charging with 20% increase in charging speed and 30% improved efficiency over its predecessors.
Qualcomm has announced the new version , Quick Charge 4+ Â promises upto 3 degrees cooler , upto 15% faster and 30 % more efficient than Quick Charge 4. Qualcomm reports that Quick Charge 4+ includes all the benefits of Quick Charge 4 with three enhancements.
Dual Charge, which is already an option in earlier version of Quick Charge, but is now more powerful. Charging a device via Dual Charge divides the charge current, allowing for lower thermal dissipation and reduced charge time.
Intelligent Thermal Balancing,is engineered to move current via the coolest path autonomously, eliminating hot spots for optimized power delivery and keep temperatures down.
Advanced Safety Features, to monitor both the case and connector temperature levels simultaneously. This extra layer of protection helps ward against overheating and short-circuit or damage to the Type-C connector.
The first device to include Quick Charge 4+ support was announced, the Nubia Z17. The Nubia Z17 is  powerful smartphone featuring, Snapdragon 835 with 8 GB RAM and 128GB ROM in addition to Quick Charge 4+ and a 3200mAh battery.
