5G is not implemented in India but it become the standard as more and more smartphones are now coming with 5G connectivity. Realme is one of the leaders in the 5G segment as the company has introduced a bunch of 5G enabled smartphones in India in different pricing segments but the company promised to launch a smartphone with 5G connectivity under ₹10,000 this year in the country. Now it seems that the promise is not going to happen soon.
Madhav Sheth the top most executive of the company and the backbone of the Indian arm has recently confirmed in an interview that an affordable 5G enabled Smartphone is not an easy task to launch in the market of India.
The executive has officially confirmed that the launching a smartphone under ₹10,000 with 5G connectivity is not possible this year and the same could happen next year.
It is disappointing news for the smartphone lovers and especially for those who were eagerly waiting for an affordable 5G enabled smartphone but the company may have its own challenges as the government of the country has increased the GST recently.
