After all the teasers and leaks, Realme has unveiled the Realme Q smartphone in the market of China. The new smartphone is actually a rebranded Realme 5 Pro which was unveiled a couple of weeks back in the market of India. Which means the Realme Q has the same specifications and designing setup of the 5 Pro and the company has launched the device in its home country with a different name.
Specifications of Realme Q
It sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with dewdrop notch, and will offer a 90.6 percent screen-to-body ratio, along with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass. The Realme Q is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 AIE processor along with Adreno 616 GPU for the graphical task. The smartphone will available in three variants — 4 GB RAM with 64 GB of onboard storage, 6 GB RAM with 64 GB storage, and 8 GB RAM with 128 GB internal storage, it also supports UFS 2.1.
The Realme Q features the Quad Rear Cameras and rocks an 8 MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.25 aperture, which is accompanied by a 48 MP Sony IMX586 primary camera sensor with f/1.79 aperture, a 2 MP portrait lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2 MP ultra maco lens with f/2.4 aperture. Furthermore, it supports additional camera features just like the regular variant. On the front, you will get a 16 MP Sony IMX571 sensor with f/2.0 aperture. It also comes with the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and also feature HyperBoost 2.0 that has three options — SystemBoost, GameBoost, and AppBoost. All these features will enhance the smartphone while gaming and heavy usage. Furthermore, the smartphone also has the Google AR.
Speaking about the connectivity options, the Realme Q will support the 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C port, and this time Realme will keep the Type-C cable within the retail box. It also features two Super Linear speakers with Dirac HD Sound for an immersive audio experience. It also has the Splash resistance.
The smartphone will boot on ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie, and it will ship on a 4,035 mAh battery which also comes with support for 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology.
Pricing and availability
The 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant is priced at CNY 998, while the 6/64GB variant for CNY 1,198 and 8/128 GB model goes for CNY 1,498.
