Redmi has officially introduced the new Redmi 12 smartphone in the market of India and the same was on the headlines for the past few weeks. The smartphone is made available in both 4G and 5G options. Both 5G and 4G models of the new Redmi 12 smartphone looks similar and the devices are also sharing specifications in multiple departments as well. Redmi 12 is coming with a 6.79-inch display with 2460 x 1080 pixels resolution and up to a 90Hz refresh rate. It is also offering a peak brightness level of 550 nits.
Under the hood, the 4G variant is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 mobile processor paired with up to 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of eMMC storage.
On the other hand, the 5G version is coming with the power of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip along with up to 256 GB UFS 2.2 storage and the device is coming with up to 8GB of RAM on the board. Both models are coming with LPDDR4x RAM.
Speaking about the camera department, both models are coming with a 50MP primary camera along with a 2MP macro sensor. The device is also coming with an 8MP selfie camera. The 4G model and it is also coming with an additional 8MP ultra-wide sensor on the back. The device is also supporting a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Regarding the connectivity options, the device supports dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, GNSS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an IR blaster among others. It is housing a massive 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging and the device is running on Android 13 with MIUI 14.
In terms of pricing and availability, the latest Redmi 12 4G model with 4GB + 128GB is having a price tag of ₹9,999 while the 6GB + 128GB model is priced at ₹11,499. The 5G version of the device is coming with 4GB + 128GB is having a price tag of ₹11,999 while the 6GB + 128GB is available with a price tag of ₹13,499 and 8GB + 256GB storage option is available for ₹15,499.
Redmi 12 will be available from August 4 via the official website of the company along with Amazon and retail stores in the country.
