The South Korean electronics giant Samsung has officially introduced its latest Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 tablet during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 event and the device features a rugged design along with a durable construction suitable for use in harsh weather conditions. The latest Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 comes with MIL-STD-810H standards and the device features three physical buttons along with a user-replaceable battery on the board. The device comes with the inbox protective cover that protects the device from falling from a height of up to 12 meters. The device also features an IP68 rating for dustproof and water resistance and comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the display. The device also supports S Pen that also features an IP68 rating.
Coming to the specifications, the latest Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 features an 8-inch LCD panel along with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device also features a 5-megapixel selfie camera while the back panel comes with a 13 megapixel camera sensor with an autofocus and supports 4K video recording at 30fps. The company hasn’t revealed the Android version of the device but it is believed to run on Android 12.

Samsung is offering the new tablet with the power of the Exynos 1380 chipset along with 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of storage that can be expandable using a Micro SD card. The Samsung Tab Active 5 houses a 5,050mAh battery.
The device features a side-facing fingerprint scanner along with a dedicated Active key. The device also supports dual SIM with eSIM support, 5G, pogo pin, a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB-C port, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3. The device also supports NFC and Dolby Atmos.
