However, the feature was limited only in the United States and now Facebook Messenger is all set to expand the feature to more users and region.
To use the facility via Facebook Messenger, there are no formalities you have to meet. Only you need to register your card, and Facebook keeps everything encrypted also every payment requires a PIN to stop any kind of unwanted issues. To send money to your near and dear ones, you need to tap “+” and then tap on the green Payments icon. Then you will be taken to enter your debit card details followed by the amount you want to send.
In terms of transaction cap, the maximum for a single payment will be £2,500 which caps out at £10,000 for every 30 days.
The update is expected to roll out in the next few weeks, but it’s unclear about the support of PayPal which was added to the Messenger in the US last month. However, Facebook confirmed that user will be able to initiate payments using its digital assistant, M.
