India is the world’s biggest smartphone market and the same is having devices from various brands and the market is having devices from different pricing segments as well. Now the Government of the country has made a new mandatory for the smartphones and the same will definitely bring a big smile to the face of smartphone lovers but the new rule will not make Apple happy. It has been mandatory that all smartphones need to feature USB-C from March 2025 which means all the devices need to offer the same type of chanting solution. The new implementation will not enable Apple to launch its devices in India with its preparatory charging port.
Having said that, India has adopted the mandatory USB-C policy after the European Union passing the same rule a couple of weeks ago.
Anyways, it is a good announcement and the same will definitely reduce the number of chargers in a household in the country and this will also help to reduce the electronic wastage as well.
