Vivo S6 5G Unveiled With Quad Cameras

As promised, Vivo has announced its latest smartphone called Vivo S6 5G, as the name suggests the device is coming with the 5G connectivity. The smartphone also has another specialty and that’s the chip, Vivo utilized the South Korean giant Samsung’s processor in this phone. That said, this is not the first Vivo smartphone to come with Exynos chip, as Vivo X30 and X30 Pro are the first ones to come with the chipset of Samsung.

Specifications of Vivo S6 5G

The smartphone features a 6.44 Full HD+ AMOLED display with 2400 X 1080 pixels resolution along with a waterdrop-like notch on top of the screen and it also offers a 20:9 aspect ratio as well as HDR10. The device is powered by an octa-core Exynos 980 processor along with Mali-G76 MP5 GPU for the graphical task, the latest Vivo smartphone is paired with 8GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the device will available with 128/256 GB of internal storage with UFS 2.1.

Moving to the photography department, the Vivo S6 5G rocks quad camera setup at back and that’s in the combination of a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture as well as LED flash followed by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the smartphone features a 32-megapixel sensor. Furthermore, the smartphone also features an in-display fingerprint scanner along with the traditional security options.

Regarding the connectivity options, the Vivo S6 5G supports dual mode 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.1, Dual-frequency GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port. The smartphone runs on Android 10 with Funtouch OS 10 on top, and packs on a 4,500 mAh battery with 18W charging technology.

Pricing and availability

The 6/128GB variant is priced at CNY 2,698 while the 8/256GB variant will available for CNY 2,998 ($425), the smartphone will available in China from April 4 and there is no information about the availability of the same in other parts of the world.
