Well, now the BBK Electronics owned Vivo has officially unveiled the device in the Chinese Market. The device comes with a gradient colour design and the company has implemented a “3D gold micro-arc design” which will offer a grip.

The device sports 6.2 inch HD+ display with 1520 X 720 pixels resolution along with 19:9 aspect ratio and it also has a waterdrop like notch on the top of the display. It is powered by 2.0 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 439 processor and paired with 3 GB and 4 GB RAM along with Adreno 505 GPU for the graphical task. In terms of storage, the Vivo U1 comes with two storage variants; 3GB RAM variant has 32 GB of internal storage and the device also has 64 GB storage variant and it will be available with both 3 GB and 4 GB RAM.
Moving to the photography department, the device has dual camera set up at the back and that is in the combination of 13 megapixel (f/2.2 aperture) + 2 megapixel (f/2.4 aperture) with LED flash, along with an 8 megapixel front facing camera with the f/2.0 aperture. Having said that, the front and rear cameras come with some AI-based features. The front camera also supports AR Stickers. The Vivo U1 supports fingerprint scanner and face unlock for the security of the users and it also supports features like eSports Mode 2.0, Jovi AI Digital Assistant, and Smart Desktop.
Regarding the connectivity options, the smartphone supports 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, USB OTG, 3.5 mm headphone jack, GPS, and micro USB. The Vivo U1 runs on Funtouch OS 4.5 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo, and ships on 4,030 mAh battery to keep the lights on.
Pricing and availability of Vivo U1
The 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage variant is priced at ¥799 (approx. ₹8,440), the 3 GB RAM + 64 GB storage variant has the price tag of ¥999 (approx. ₹10,550), and the 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage variant is priced at ¥1199 (approx. ₹12,660). The Vivo U1 will be available in China and there is no information about the availability of the device in other parts of the world.
