It seems the Chinese smartphone brand Vivo is in hurry to launch its ‘Y series’ portfolio, as last week the company launched Vivo Y91 and today the company has launched another smartphone in the Y series and that is called Vivo Y89. Having said that, the device is not any new as it is a re-branded smartphone of last year’s Vivo Z1 Lite.
Specification of Vivo Y89
The smartphone sports 6.26 FHD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and having 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 626 processor and paired with 4 GB RAM along with Adreno 506 GPU. In terms of storage, the device has 32 GB of internal storage and can be expandable upto 256 GB via microSD card.
Moving to the camera department, the device has dual camera setup at the back with the combination of 16 megapixel (f/2.0 aperture) + 2 megapixel (f/2.4 aperture) with LED flash, along with 16 megapixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It also supports the fingerprint scanner and face unlock.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports 4G, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and micro USB. The device runs on the Android Oreo 8.1 which is based on Funtouch OS, and the device ships on 3,260 mAh battery.
Pricing and availability of Vivo Y89
The smartphone is priced at ¥1598 (approx. ₹16,757), and the device will be available in China but there is no information about the availability of the device in other parts of the world.
