While passing new year wishes at the Midnight, suddenly the world’s most favourite instant messaging application WhatsApp stopped working. I was wondering and started to check my Internet connection, as I wasn’t able to receive and send messages. However, it was not the problem of my data connection. It happened because the WhatsApp went down, and this time it was not available for one hour.
The outage happened around 12:10 a.m. to 1 a.m. (IST). And the app stopped working for several people across the globe and it includes India. There is no reason behind this outage, but it may happen because of the heavy usage to send new year greetings to near and dear ones.
This is happening continuously for WhatsApp in recent time, and Facebook the parent company of the WhatsApp should take some needy steps to avoid this kind of situations. As in this digital age, WhatsApp has become one of the most important media to communicate with a family and friends. I hope the developers behind the world’s most favourite instant messaging application will take needful step to avoid this kind of outage.
