Xiaomi has officially introduced a new product in its Smart home series and the new device is dubbed the Xiaomi Smart Door Lock 2 Cat-Eye Edition. It comes with cat eye camera design and the device is currently available for pre-orders, which are already live in China at 1,399 yuan and the sales will start on March 28.

The Xiaomi Smart Door Lock 2 Cat-Eye Edition features a 2-megapixel sensor with a 160-degree wide field of view, along with infrared night vision and the device has full-color low-light support. The device features AI human detection and it will eliminate false alarms.
It sports Xiaomi’s in-house noise-reduction motor and the device has a C-level lock cylinder along with sensors to check the lock’s status. It has security alerts include door ajar warnings, tamper alerts, and notifications.
The lock supports nine unlocking methods including fingerprint scanning, NFC, Bluetooth from your phone, permanent and temporary passcodes, mechanical keys, and the ability of unlocking via Xiaomi phones, smartwatches, and bands. The fingerprint sensor has an AI algorithm.
It has a 5,000mAh lithium battery that offers up to four months on a full charge along with the backup option of four AA batteries. It has a Type-C emergency port that lets you power the lock with a power bank. It syncs with the Mi Home app and supports HyperOS.
