If you are a lover of Google Chrome extensions, then this will be a great news for you because in the anniversary update. Microsoft updating the edge browser and bring support for extension, and it now it’s open for developers to load the store. Microsoft also added in web notification for websites, which will allow websites to push notifications to the Windows 10 action centre.
Cortana improvements
Microsoft digital assistant Cortana debuted in Windows 10 last year, and now the makers bring more of it by bringing it right to the lock screen with the anniversary update. You will be able to order Cortana to make a note, play music, or set a reminder and many more without even login to your PC.
Dark theme and other tweaks in UI
Microsoft brings dark theme to Windows 10 which makes the screen more beautiful. You can switch even more darker mode in settings, and it will switch all the apps that use a white background over to black. Microsoft also tweaked some other changes in UI in many ways, now apps are integral part of the start menu, and live tiles become more intelligent, now you can directly to a topic. For example: if you see a news on a live tiles and you will go directly to that news, instead just opening the home screen.
Tablet mode will look more like a Windows 8
Tablet mode will look like a Windows 8 because all apps will take full advantage of the screen just like they used in Windows 8. Microsoft did improvements in the all apps view on the start screen so now its full screen and easier to navigate.

With anniversary update Microsoft set time zone automatically, it’s a really needful feature because till now we have to set time manually. This will really come handy to those who lot of travelling.

Finally, the Xbox One is getting Windows apps in the anniversary update as Windows 10 now powers the Xbox one Microsoft will start rolling out an update to it provide support for Cortana.

Syncing your phone’s notification to your PC is the one of the best addition in Windows 10 anniversary update. if you have a Windows or Android phone then you will be able to use Cortana to sync notification from your phone. you can reply to messages or dismiss notification or even you can send photos from Phone to PC. There are other apps like push bullet for this but if you get this feature in your PC then this would be a great thing.
