Last year, Facebook was launched Lite version of their Facebook application which is basically useful for low end Android Smartphones as well as for those who is concerned about their data consumption. In the same way now, Facebook has launched the Messenger Lite application for the emerging countries.
The Messenger Lite application is only available for Android right now. And the app uses less data and designed in a way, which will work in slower Internet connection. The app does the same things which the normal Messenger app does. It will allow you to send text, photos and links, send and receive stickers.
The social networking Giants says that the Messenger Lite application’s size under 10 MB. Currently, the app is available in Kenya, Malaysia, Tunisia, Sri Lanka and Venezuela and it will be expand to other countries in coming months.
So it’s a really great move by the social networking giant because the messenger application is much heavier for low end smartphone. because the size of the app is around 50 MB right now. So, with the launch of Messenger Lite app the number of users will definitely increase for the Messenger application.
