Google has released Android distribution chart of December 2016. In the latest update there is no big changes, the latest Android OS 7.1 has shown a small appearance.

KitKat version of Android is finally no longer most common API, and it fell to 24% in the distribution. The Android Marshmallow has risen to 26.3% in the total install base. Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich and Jellybean versions are in less devices. Lollipop version 5.0 and 5.1 both fell compared to the last month.
The latest version of Android has a very tiny rise to 0.3% to 0.4%, the handset manufacturers started to rolling out the new update. So, let’s hope it will rise in the next month of distribution chart.
