Google has released Android distribution chart of January 2017. In the latest update, Marshmallow reaches closer to 30% of devices across the globe. The accurate percentage is 29.6%.

In the last month, Android Marshmallow had 26.3% in the total install base. In the latest distribution chart, Marshmallow got a growth of 3.3%. But it still ranks second in the chart, Lollipop is still tops the chart with the share of 33.4%.
The interesting point is, Android Froyo which still has 0.1%, KitKat 22.6%, Gingerbread with 1.0%, Ice Cream Sandwich has 1.1% and Jellybean with 11.6%.
The latest version of Android has a very tiny rise to 0.7%, the handset manufacturers started to rolling out the new update. So, let’s hope it will rise in the next month of distribution chart.
