Last month Lenovo launched their K8 Note smartphone in India which is a mid-range phone that tried to compete with Redmi Note 4, the king of mid-range smartphones. Now seems like Lenovo has some other plans to compete, and that’s by launching other phones in similar price. So Lenovo has launched two new smartphones: K8 and K8 Plus. Let’s have a look at the specs of both phones.
1st let’s talk about Lenovo K8, this is the variant having least powerful specs amongst K8 Note and K8 Plus. This phone comes with MediaTek’s Helio P20 octa core processor with Mali-T880 MP2 GPU. It sports a 5.2” 720p HD IPS LCD display with 2.5D curved glass. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that’s expandable via MicroSd Card. It has 13MP Rear Camera with PDAF and LED flash, and 8MP Front Camera with LED flash. It runs on Android 7.1.1 nougat out of the box with near stock Android UI. For powering the phone a 4000mAh battery is packed too. All Lenovo features like TheaterMax are present here. The fingerprint sensor is placed at the back of the device. For connectivity it has Dual Nano SIM, VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2 and FM Radio.
Now coming to the slightly more higher phone launched i.e. K8 Plus, this phone comes with MediaTek’s Helio P25 octa core processor which is built on 16nm process, Mali T-880 MP2 GPU is also present. It sports a 5.2” 1080p Full HD IPS LCD display 2.5D curved Gorilla glass on top. It has 3GB/4GB RAM variants and both variant comes with 32GB of internal storage that’s expandable via MicroSd Card slot. This phone has Dual 13MP+5MP Rear Camera Setup with dual tone LED flash. This camera can shoot depth of field photos. For selfies it has 8MP front camera with LED flash. It runs on Android 7.1.1 nougat out of the box with near stock Android UI. For powering the phone a 4000mAh battery is packed too. All Lenovo features like TheaterMax are present here. The fingerprint sensor is placed at the back of the device. For connectivity it has Dual Nano SIM, VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2 and FM Radio.
Both these phones will be available in two colours : Venom Black and Fine Gold. Below are the details of pricing and availability of this phone:
- Pricing and availability details of Lenovo K8 is yet to announce.
- Lenovo K8 Plus 3GB RAM variant is priced at INR 10,999/-, while 4GB RAM variant price is yet to announce.
- Lenovo K8 Note is available to buy exclusively from Flipkart.
- Few launch offers are also there from Jio, Flipkart, Motorola and others.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Personally speaking both these phones are adding bulk into Lenovo’s smartphone portfolio.
